PhET (Physics Education Technology) is an open educational resource (OER) project at the University of Colorado Boulder that provides “fun, free, interactive, research-based science and mathematics simulations.” Although the program began in 2002 with physics in mind, it has since expanded to cover the fields of chemistry, biology, earth science, and mathematics. The simulations are all open source and free.
